Plastic packaging is not just plastic packaging.

Norwaste has examined product residues in plastic packaging and the differences between plastic packaging from centrally sorted residual waste and source sorting.
Norwaste has mapped the amount of litter being cleaned up in Oslo and the cost to the municipality.

370 tons of plastic litter are cleaned up annually under the auspices of the Oslo municipality. Half of this consists of single-use plastic. The costs for this will soon have to be covered by the producers.
How to prevent littering around recycling points

Norwaste and Hold Norway Clean, with funding from the Retailers' Environmental Fund, have produced the report "Prevention of littering around recycling points." The report offers various measures and advice aimed at assisting municipalities and waste management companies in reducing littering. Sirkel, Fretex, and Sandnes Municipality have also contributed to the project.

This summer, Norwaste has surveyed littering along three roads in Innlandet county. This is part of Hold Norway Clean's project "På rett veg", with assistance from Mesta and Innlandet county council.
