With Bjørn Kopstad and Henrik Lystad as partners, Norwaste AS was founded as a consultancy company within waste management and recycling.

Henrik Lystad previously worked as Technical Director at Avfall Norge, where he worked for 16 years. Bjørn Kopstad has previously worked for 17 years in the Norsk Gjenvinning group with various management tasks and has lately been involved with Auritus and the industry newsletter Insider. In Norwaste, Henrik will be General Manager, Bjørn is chairman and partner.

"After many years in Avfall Norge, it will be exciting to try out other challenges in the industry," says Henrik Lystad. I have a lot of faith in the need for a knowledge-based consulting company with the profile of Norwaste.

On the team Norwaste gets two other experienced seniors, Knut Bakkejord and Bård Jørgensen.

Knut has been following the industry for 30 years and was Project Manager for the development of a sorting facility and associated waste strategy for Central Norway in Trondheim, as well as a new waste plan for Trondheim municipality.

Bård comes from the position of CEO of Remiks, where he has built up the municipal waste company in Tromsø from one agency to a modern municipal company.
