Oslo Innovation Week is held as an English-language innovation conference in Oslo every fall. One of this fall's themes was "A Plastic Promise - What role can the private sector play?" where business opportunities to reduce consumption of disposable plastic products were highlighted. In front of a full-fledged «American line», Norwaste presented the main findings from the Norwegian business community to reduce selected single-used plastic products.

The presentation focused on the findings in the report «Is Norwegian Business Ready for the EU Disposable Plastic Directive?», Based on interviews with about twenty large and medium-sized Norwegian companies that sell single-used plastic products that fall under the EU SUP Directive .
