NEW EXPERTISE IN PACKAGING AND CIRCULAR ECONOMY

Norwaste continues to grow, and with Amund Aalstad, we gain significant expertise in our packaging and circular economy domain.

Amund has worked for several years as an advisor to various businesses in the grocery, food, and packaging industries. Additionally, he has served as the project leader for the Circular Packaging Cluster, an industrial cluster that aims to create the world's most efficient and circular value chain for packaging and plastic through cross-industry collaboration.

Why did you choose to work at Norwaste?

After many years as an independent consultant, I wanted to be part of a larger professional community. Norwaste is in an exciting phase of development and has substantial expertise in the waste management industry. By being part of the Norwaste team, I can combine my experience and knowledge in circular value chains for food and packaging with Norwaste's solid competence in waste and waste management. This opens up many exciting opportunities to contribute solutions to the challenges our society faces in transitioning to a circular economy.

What do you hope to achieve in Norwaste?

The linear economy is one of the main causes of climate change worldwide. We need to transition to a circular economy where we reduce resource consumption and ensure that materials are recycled into new products and raw materials. This transition will place significant demands on all sectors of society, and I want to be a contributor to this development. At Norwaste, I have the opportunity to work.

The regulations for producers are changing, with constantly evolving requirements from the EU, both in terms of producer responsibility and packaging regulations. With Amund on the team, we gain solid expertise in packaging design and other aspects crucial for reducing waste volumessays CEO Henrik Lystad
